All SIG meetings take place at the Washington Apple Pi Office unless otherwise specified.
Register as a Member of the SIG
In order to register as a member of the SIG and to thereby receive notices of our meetings please go to our list archives page and click on one of the "Subscribe" links. This will cause your e-mail client application to create a message to the list management system. Once you send that message you will receive an e-mail that asks you to confirm that you did indeed request membership in the list. This is an effort to deter spam harvesters. Once you confirm that you want to sign on you will receive a welcome message with additional information.
Individual members cannot post messages to this announcement list. If you have something that needs to be announced send a message to retired-talk@lists.wap.org. The List moderator will review the message and determine whether it is suitable for general distribution. This is an effort to cut down on inadvertent broadcasts and spamming.
Speak up and Ask Questions
The PI's outstanding bulletin board service is at your disposal. There is a special Retired SIG message board in the Pi Conference. You are strongly encouraged to use this medium of communication when you want a dialog on a subject of interest to other members of the SIG.
The numerous other message boards on the Washington Apple Pi Telecommunications System are an invaluable source of aid and comfort to those seeking answers to technical questions or other kinds of problems.

About the SIG
The name "Retired SIG" is not meant to imply that the SIG is only for people who are no longer working. Anyone who has time available during the day is welcome. For that reason, our meetings take place from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on the 4th Thursday of each month. There are occasions when meetings have to be shifted so please be sure to check the Pi calendar and this web site for the latest information.
We try to help our members get more enjoyment out of their Macintosh computers by providing simple tutorials, help with operational issues and fellowship.
The SIG seeks, as its long range goal, to develop a community of Pi members who will get to know one another and work together to satisfy their own needs and contribute to the advancement of the Pi.
SIG (Special Interest Group) Activities
There are occasions when meetings have to be shifted so please be sure to check the Pi calendar and this web site for the latest information.
SIG meetings always begin and end with Free-Form Tech Support sessions. In which we try to solve members' problems by sharing tips and tricks for coping with Mac applications, system software, and hardware.
