Mac OS 8 was introduced just as the New Mac Road Show (what a name!) was starting. But even though this oversize box graced the demo stage, no demos of Mac OS 8 were offered.

Washington Apple Pi members, eager to try the new operating system on new machines, stepped into this vacuum, exploring the nifty new features of Mac OS 8 under the guise of showing visitors how it works.
