Rob Pegoraro, technology columnist for the Washington Post. He commented that, when he started writing his column, he was "the kid" in the newsroom, but now is one of the old timers -- and he isn't that old. Rob was repeatedly asked if Apple would introduce a tablet computer in 2010. He confessed he didn't know, but if they didn't, everyone but Microsoft would be severely bummed out. Washington Apple Pi hosts Rob Pegoraro of the Washington Post, January 23, 2010. Photo by Richard Sanderson.
Lawrence Charters noted that Rob seems to focus on individual use of technology in his columns, rather than business use. Rob responded that personal technology should be personal, so yes, he did try to see how such technology was valuable to individuals rather than their employers. In a curious departure from the norm, while Rob talked about personal technology, the audience wasn't busy with cell phones and laptops. Washington Apple Pi hosts Rob Pegoraro of the Washington Post, January 23, 2010. Photo by Richard Sanderson.
After the meeting, Rob stayed around a bit and graciously answered a few more questions. Washington Apple Pi hosts Rob Pegoraro of the Washington Post, January 23, 2010. Photo by Richard Sanderson.
