Join Washington Apple Pi in welcoming an Apple representative to give us an update on all things Apple (or at least all things that blink and beep and work with music, messages, video, databases, and lots of other things). The Apple representative may also talk about whatever it is that Apple will announce at their October 13 Special Event, and the previous September Special Event.
Ahem. This sounds like a long meeting, as Apple has been very busy. In any case, it will be a virtual meeting.
This is allegedly a MacBook Pro running Big Sur. In a break from tradition, there is a map of San Francisco, but no photo related to Big Sur.
Before our guest wows us with new technological wonders, the meeting will start with our famed Question and Answer session where we engage in crowdsourcing clever answers to impossible questions, such as "How can I sync my Apple TV to my printer?" and "Why does my ring tone on my iPhone sound like everyone else's ring tone?" or "Which programming language should I learn, Swift or PL/1?"
The invitation to the Zoom meeting will be posted on the Pi's conferencing system, the TCS, and sent out to members via Email.
Please check your Zoom profile online to be sure it contains your full name, because for security reasons, we can't let anyone in without their full name. Important! If you've downloaded Zoom in the past, please check to see that it is version 5.0 or greater before the meeting.
We are going to try and stream the meeting through the Pi website:
