What is Dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) HTML editor, which streamlines web development and site management.

Why would you want to use Dreamweaver?

  • Do not need to know HTML or CSS

  • More control over your site and site files

  • Manage your web sites with ease

  • View your pages as you build them

  • Click-and-build access to the different parts of forms, tables, and other web page components.

  • Can incorporate Dreamweaver extensions - Extensions are commands, tools, options, etc., allowing you to easily add features. Created by Dreamweaver users and Macromedia (now Adobe), some are free, some require purchase.
    Dreamweaver includes an extension manager.

  • Integration with Adobe CS3 applications - Photoshop, Flash and the current technologies like Macromedia Flash.
